We greet you with joy and appreciation in the beauty of the Fall Season. We know that as nature’s vegetation is fading, God is preparing the earth for a new beginning in the Spring Season.  The Hymn of Promise reminds us that:

 In the bulb there is a flower; in the seed an apple tree;
in cocoons, a hidden promise: butterflies will soon be free!
In the cold and snow of winter there’s spring that waits to be,
unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.

As we approach the Thanksgiving – Advent Season, we give thanks for God’s fresh beginnings.The African American Methodist Heritage Center is entering into a new season of its mission which is to preserve, protect and promote the history of African-American Methodism. This ministry began with significant financial support from the General Conference of The United Methodist Church. Financial support, however, is now limited to a grant from the General Commission on Archives and History, and this grant is shrinking because of a decline in general church financial support for the general agencies of the UMC.

We invite you to become a supporter of the AAMHC. Your partnership with the Center will help to make a difference at this critical time in this ministry.
